Winchester

Location:  United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry
N 45 04.151   W 75 16.884
In front of the Winchester District Memorial Hospital, 566 Louise Street.

This memorial was erected in 1954 by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 108.  It was moved to its current location in 2009, with the opening of a new Winchester District Memorial Hospital.  The original Memorial Hospital was opened in 1948, but replaced with a new state-of-the-art hospital in 2009, which is when this memorial was moved to front of the new building.  Inside the hospital is a plaque with the names of those brave souls from this area who died in World War II.  Sadly I did not get a photo of the plaque.
